With the presence of Mohammadreza movassaghi nia, the wastewater treatment plant of this complex was inaugurated as the first wastewater treatment plant for provincial steel projects.
The ceremony was held on January 21, 2024, with the presence of the Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines, the CEO of IMIDRO, and a group of national and provincial officials at the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex.
In this ceremony, Mohsen Mostafapour, while stating the achievements of the past two years of the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex, said: "This complex, with the round-the-clock efforts of its employees, succeeded in producing 1.2 million tons of sponge iron last year, which is 100% growth compared to the previous year."
He added: "Also, the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex succeeded in producing 300,000 tons of iron ore concentrate last year, which is also 100% growth compared to the previous year."
Mostafapoor also, referring to the inauguration of the first wastewater treatment plant for provincial steel projects, said: "This treatment plant with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters of water per day, provides more than 90% of the water used by the direct reduction unit and the water needed for this complex for irrigation of green spaces."
He continued, referring to the fundamental transformation in the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex, saying: "This complex is no longer witnessing the management of the status quo, and we are seeing a fundamental transformation."
Mostafapoor also, referring to the completion of the pipeline project for the transfer of Persian Gulf water to the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex by the end of the year, announced the listing of this complex on the stock exchange next year.
He said, "The Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex, with the planning done, will join the ranks of steelmakers in the country by the end of this year with the continuous production of steel billets."
In the continuation of this ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines and Mohammadreza movassaghi nia CEO of IMIDRO, while praising the actions taken in the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex in recent years, said: "Today we are witnessing a fundamental transformation in this complex, which shows that the management and staff of this factory are interested in development and transformation."
He also emphasized the importance of adhering to environmental regulations within the steel industry, stating that the inauguration of the first provincial steel project wastewater treatment plant at the Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex demonstrates the company's commitment to environmental protection

Ghadir Neyriz Steel Company was one of the 7 steel projects approved by the government delegation in 2007 with the aim of decentralizing steel production. The construction of a DRI plant with a capacity of 800 thousand tons and a steelworks with a capacity of one million tons began in 2007.
In 2014, an agreement was signed between the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and Ghadir International Industries & Mines Development Company (Public Joint Stock) for investment and partnership in the construction, completion, and commissioning of the incomplete Neyriz Ghadir Steel Complex project. The agreement allocated 65% of the investment to the second party (Ghadir) and 35% to the first party (IMIDRO).
